Commissioning a piece of art is an investment in an heirloom, something truly personal to be treasured for generations. I specialise in oil paintings of animal portraiture. To preserve the care and dedication of each piece, I only accept a limited number of commissioned portraits each year.
Each piece is born from the one-on-one collaboration between you and I exploring the composition, intention and legacy your painting will hold. Every artwork is carefully tailored to our brief, the subject itself, and your space it will live in.

the creative process
The Brief & Proposal
We start with a conversation about your subject. This is where I really get to know them - who they are, what they mean to you, how you'd like them represented. We also determine the dimensions and orientation for your piece, considering what suits you, complements the subject, and fills the space it will live in.
Once the brief is established I build a tailored proposal for you reflecting the scale and intricacy of the piece.
concept Sketch & Production
Once secured in the commission calendar, I develop a concept sketch establishing composition, stylisation, and intention. From here, your piece moves into production. Throughout the creation, we will be in regular communication to ensure you and I are in alignment.
Upon completion, your new custom painting will be unveiled. Your piece will need an additional 3–4 weeks to cure before being varnished and prepared for delivery, this is factored into our timeline discussions.

Sizing & Pricing
Standard values are listed below (AUD) for your reference; proposal quotes are built from this range should any extra intricacies need considering. Custom sizes can also be arranged upon request.
Miniatures and small-to-medium works suit intimate spaces. and invite a stunning focal point. Miniatures also make a lovely addition to a desk or office space. I limit miniatures to one subject/animal per painting (as a very detail oriented-artist, the smaller surface area just doesn't leave room to do justice across multiple subjects!).

For the homes with generous wall space, large originals make the room feel even larger and fill it with a powerful ambience.
18 x 24" - $1,850

securing your commission allotment
A 30% non-refundable deposit confirms your place in the commission calendar. The remainder is due upon completion, prior to delivery.
Materials & Framing
Every piece is crafted from archival materials, ensuring depth and vibrancy, and preserving the artwork for generations. I purchase all my supplies from Australian businesses, locally owned and family run where possible. I work closely with wonderful professional framers (a small family-owned business in my hometown), a floating frame can be included in your proposal.
Shipping
Australia-wide shipping is complimentary (as an Aussie gal myself!). For international collectors, provide your country and postcode and I'll build any extra shipping costs into your proposal.
