Two-hour classes are now teen friendly (13+) - perfect for creative young adults looking to build confidence and explore their artistic skills.
What You Will Learn
In this 4-hour masterclass, you'll learn how to deconstruct a reference photo, understand light and form, and apply the artistic values that will bring your portrait to life. We'll all draw the same animal portrait together, however you will walk away with the skills to draw any animal or pet in future.
In this workshop, you will:
✨ Visualise like an artist - train your eye to analyse & capture shapes, proportions, light & detail
✨ Create 3D realism - master creating highlights & shadows, and creating texture
✨ Bring your artwork to life - blend & layer for depth, smooth transitions & lifelike results

We'll start with a pre-drawn sketch of our featured animal so you can focus on mastering your shading, blending, and how colours interact - not stressing about getting proportions right. It's beginner friendly yet still offers plenty of growth for experienced creatives.
Who is this for?
Whether you haven't drawn since school, or are regularly outdone by your toddlers.. maybe you're a whiz with different mediums - you'll walk away with a stunning wildlife artwork to frame, gift or kickstart your creative journey. All materials are provided, professional grade pastel pencils.
Now open to adults and teens! The two-hour classes are perfect for any age from 13 years. It's not a rowdy kids craft class, but a relaxed creative space for adults and creative youth who want to learn realism techniques.

what materials are we using?
We will be using pastel pencils - a versatile medium, easy and clean to handle, and they translate quite easily for beginners from a biro. They have the same rich, blendable qualities of traditional pastel or paints with the precision and control of a pencil.
All materials will be provided, with a palette of artist grade supplies. I supply one of my favourite brands I use with my own art, Pitt pastels - easily found in almost every specialty artist retail store if you're inspired to keep creating after your masterclass!
No experience needed
Perfect for beginners, confident creatives alike - all amounts of artistic flair (or lack thereof...!) are welcome.
Everything is provided
I provide all materials, including a pre-drawn sketch, artist grade pencils, and reference material. Just bring your best, open minded self and enjoy! BYO your favourite drinks and snacks to enjoy while we draw.
